Job Details – Sanitation Technician
Location: Bridgeton, NJ
Shift: 1st Shift
Reports to: Operations Supervisor
Job Summary:
Innovation Foods has an immediate job opening for a Sanitation Technician team member who ensures the plant meets mandatory sanitation requirements. This role works closely with the production and quality teams to ensure that the site sanitation program is executed to the highest standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of power equipment, to include pumps, production machines, and lift trucks
- Follow SOPs for safe cleaning and equipment operation
- Handle and use of chemicals, to include titrations, dispensing and transporting
- Prioritize and execute tasks during the shift
- Support and enhance the site sanitation program
- Complete daily and routine cleanings, inspections and replace supplies or tools
- Perform miscellaneous cleaning tasks (including sweeping- scrubbing- polishing- dusting- etc.) throughout the entire facility.
- Uphold visual management of the work area
- Follow and support continuous improvement methodologies
- Strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental policies
- Strict adherence to all GMP and food safety policies
- Create and follow-up on work orders for area as needed
- Complete all required training on time
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in high speed, high volume automated manufacturing environment is preferred (1-2 years)
- Previous experience in sanitation is preferred (6-12 months)
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to weights, measures and record keeping
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English
- Required to regularly lift up to 50lbs
- Flexibility to work overtime and additional shifts based on business needs
