No Experience Needed for this Sanitation Labor position
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for entry level sanitation tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
1st positions available. The starting pay for this position is $17.85
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- COMPLETED LOCKOUT/TAGOUT TRAINING REQUIRED before training or operating line.
- Must complete Fall Protection Training and adhere to all procedures.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Production set-up / break-down crew for breakdown and reassembling of equipment.
- Work with various chemicals / cleaning agents in a safe manner following all applicable safety guidelines and procedures.
- Be able to use high pressure water hose and high-pressure air wand in cleaning.
- Clean all equipment in accordance with the SOP’s.
- Maintain control of all issued equipment and tools.
- Must complete the Sanitation Training Checklist within the designated training period.
- Maintains good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene.
- Must be able to work every weekend and holidays.
- Must assist in traceability of scrap in certain areas of the facility.
- Must be able to work a variable schedule and be able to work up to 12 hours in one shift.
- Perform work in a safe manner.
- Responsible for following company policies / procedures written or verbal.
- Performs all other tasks as assigned by management.
Job REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires flexibility of wrists and hands. Walking, bending, standing and some lifting required.
- Must be able to tolerate heights up to 70 feet off of the ground on occasion.
- Lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis. Must be able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device.
- Must be able to perform essential functions of job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to successfully complete scissor lift training, forklift training or pallet jack training as deemed necessary by sanitation management.
- Some basic math will be required (addition/subtraction) when reporting scrap for production group.
- Position will require team members to work in varying temperatures. Will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
- Applicants will be required to work in all areas which may include, but are not limited to, Tortilla, Taco, Corn, and Packing.
- Will be occasionally exposed to high precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration.
**This Tyson Location has a rehire criteria of 180 days from last termination date are limited to three (3) times of employment.
