Job description

Position Summary:
The Sales Training & Development Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and active management of training strategies, plans and processes to support organizational goals. The individual is responsible for all training programs involving customer-facing roles within the Sales organization. This position plays a key role in the design, development and implementation of all sales force Training programs that directly support the strategic and operational objectives of the organization.
Position Responsibilities- Other duties may be assigned:
Build and Deliver an Effective Training Program
• Develop and maintain a highly relevant, goal oriented strategic training program
• Identify, lead in design of, and deliver impactful consultative Sales Training that improves the competency level of the organization
• Develop a training curriculum for all customer-facing roles, measure effectiveness and continuously improve the training function
• Deliver effective training results during Sales on-boarding, National Sales Meeting, and all strategic meetings year around
• Develop new hire training, advanced and recurrent training as well as additional development programs such as District/Regional Field Trainers and emerging leaders
• Facilitate the execution, including communication and training, for all integrated touch points with the customer, to improve the customer experience
• Travel as needed to deliver training and attend conferences
Collaborate with all Departments
• Collaborate with VP of Sales, Sales Directors, and senior stakeholders to ensure full alignment
• Work with the Sales and Marketing to help facilitate, conceptualize, develop, implement and refine sales programs; including implementing and executing the initiatives for ALLDATA and AutoZone commercial sales
• Lead and participate in highly visible, cross-functional initiatives and communicate industry trends
• Build trust and credibility with business partners through regular interaction that is evidenced by feedback and proven working partnerships
• This area head may lead a variety of learning and leadership development activities and will partner with HR and other cross-functional areas
Continuously Improve and Validate Training Curriculum
• Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency and efficacy of training services offered
• Adhere to adult learning principles, sound training design, and enable the delivery of training at local level(s)
• Establish processes that enable timely and actionable performance feedback of trainees
• Lead, develop, and mentor all members of the Sales Training Team
• Responsible for championing, training, and executing sales tools and processes
Provide Sales Training Reporting to Measure Results
• Provide input and reporting to Leadership in terms of Sales / Marketing strategy, tactics, and Training
• Validate, improve, and report on Sales Training and measurements
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Position Requirements:
• This position has direct reports
• A bachelor's degree is required
• At least 7 years of sales/business experience
• Facilities Management Certificate program preferred
Salary: $81,000 - $142,000
Compensation Range (USD): MIN 81000.0 - MID 111800.0 - MAX 142000.0
