SalaryBASIC FUNCTION:
The Sales Specialist - Wholesale is responsible for providing day-to-day support to assigned Wholesale accounts, ensuring that CP&S provides best-in-class customer service.This person will be the primary contact for assigned priority accounts and is responsible for rapid delivery of quotations; submittal data and other information needed by Crane Regional Sales Managers and Channel Partners to help drive sales growth. This will require the candidate to develop detailed product knowledge, a high level understanding of our e-Tools, and will require strong organizational and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Acts as a liaison between assigned strategic Wholesale accounts and Crane Pumps & Systems organization
- Take the lead responding to all request for quotations, including the development of pricing strategies that maximize sales and margin
- Understand customer needs, issues and requests, and work with all parts of the organization to get them addressed in a timely manner
- Take the lead responding to all Customer quality, delivery and price enquiries for assigned strategic accounts
- Ability to review customer specifications to determine best value add solution for the application
- Maintain Key Process Indicators such as new product sales, quotes wins and losses or quote response time, as requested by manager
- Utilize all CP&S tools required to answer the customer
- Assist with New Product Development and other tasks as requested by the manager
- Provide Channel Partner product training as requested by manager
- Travel expectation is 60% to support Channel Partner visits, tradeshows, and end user pull through sales activity
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- BS degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2 yrs. Minimum pump sales/application or Pump Wholesale Channel experience.
- Strong emphasis on systems thinking and understanding of rotating equipment a plus.
- Ability to respond with a strong sense of urgency and care to customer requests, inquiries, and problems
