Bird has an opening for an experienced Sales Solutions Engineer. Do you possess a unique blend of Business acumen, Engineering background, Semiconductor industry experience, RF knowledge, and a strong desire to advocate for and support customers while influencing our company’s sales and product roadmap?
This individual is an experienced technical business professional who has Semiconductor RF or related experience and excels in working with a cross-functional Customer Team. You can work independently with little supervision and are comfortable with being on customer premises while working with a cross-functional Customer team on a global basis. Both the company and Customer see and rely on you as a trusted adviser.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS/SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools.
- Promote the Bird Family Values through your actions – Trust, Innovation, Teamwork, Achievement, and Accountability.
- Be able to describe the quality policy and goals, your contribution to quality, and the effects of not observing quality and customer requirements.
- Advocate for and Support the Customer, while aligning to the objectives of Bird
- Technically train and assist Bird customers and representatives to manage and grow the business for established and new customers.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of customer product development and company strategies using Bird tools and processes.
- Manage all assigned customer and company technical-related activities to maintain existing and gain customer market share and meet KPI objectives: identify and qualify opportunities, manage the customer development process, and help align Bird product roadmaps, forecast, quote and orders as needed from time to time.
- Assist in coordinating market strategies worldwide for the assigned Customers (This could involve some international travel).
- Develop relationships at all levels within the Customers’ organizations and within Bird.
- Must be willing to travel 50+%
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES (Applicant must meet all to be considered):
- BSEE or equivalent work experience.
- 3 plus years of experience in RF engineering, sales, or marketing within the Semiconductor industry.
- Proven ability to drive long sales cycle design-wins.
- Familiarity with the RF engineering segment in the semiconductor market
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with sales and engineering teams.
- Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative problem-solving skills to address customer issues.
- Highly empathetic to Customer needs and company constraints
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
