Job Overview:
The candidate will be responsible for business development, establishing new customers, visiting customers, taking orders, managing inventory, purchasing, and replenishing inventory, logistics, market analysis, attending trade shows, and visiting vendors when needed.
A full-line frozen seafood importer of 35 + years, is looking to expand operations in US markets (South and East Coasts). Offering competitive pricing for fresh and frozen products.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively procure new business opportunities and generate leads
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and competitors
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Present product information, negotiate prices, and close sales deals
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics to ensure timely delivery of products
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sales process
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- 5+ years experience in a similar position.
- Experience with retail and wholesale, and export trade.
- Experience with cruise line contracts
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Competitive salary and commission (based on experience level)
- Fluent in English and Spanish a plus
