What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a Sales Specialist,to coordinate confidential cost and price administration activities. This position routinely interacts with internal and external customers to communicate pricing and related issues that may affect the organization. Works closely with management to develop reports and presentations related to sales, cost and marketing data.
What you will be doing:

  • Pricing
    • Manage confidential pricing records contained in internal records
    • Support cost and pricing activities across programs and platforms from sourcing timing through launch, mass production, balance out and service
    • Lead (IC3) /Supports (IC2) the identification and resolution of issues regarding pricing and margins
  • Quoting
    • Coordinate mass re-quotes for periodic price changes
    • Quote and support assigned vehicle or program as directed by department management
    • Validate sales quotes for accuracy and profitability
  • Customer support
    • Lead (IC3) / Supports (IC2) customer-requested projects requiring data analysis (e.g. APR, Gentani and Cost Planning) supporting impacted Account Managers and internal stakeholders
    • Support internal projects requiring data analysis (e.g. Long-term Sales Forecast, Cost Planning and Market Share Strategies)
    • Internal customer contact for cost and pricing inquires on products maintained in a corporate system
    • Act as a compliance liaison to support and provide information to internal customers
    • Research and analyze sales data to provide related reports and summaries to internal customers
    • Lead (IC3) / Supports (IC2) and/or participates in presentations related to market and product research
  • Support industry related market research
  • Provide assistance or guidance to the Sales staff in the absence of direct management
  • Supportsmanagement with all related sales activities
  • Track and supports all sales related activities
  • Lead (IC3) / Support (IC2) Department training of new members in areas of expertise and knowledge
  • Participate in system-related activities related to pricing (e.g. SAP, BEAMS)
  • Lead (IC3) / Support (IC2) other projects, tasks, and/or duties as assigned
  • Support long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and priorities

Requirements:
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor's in Sales, Business or related field or equivalent experience
Certification Requirements:
N/A
Previous Experience:
Required: 5 years of experience in a customer-related capacity
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in Automotive, Manufacturing or International Business
Travel Requirements:
Both domestic and international travel may be required - less than 10%
Language:
English (Japanese or Spanish helpful)
Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (strong excel), SAP preferred with technical aptitude to learn new software and systems
On Call Requirements:
Overtime as required to meet customer and job requirements

Office position - primarily sedentary
