We are a small, privately owned outdoor power equipment dealer, that has been in business since 1962. We offer parts, sales, & service for all brands we carry & other manufacturers as well. The Sales & Parts Salesperson represents the company to its customers for the purpose of selling parts and other merchandise. The Sales &Parts Salesperson records and tracks merchandise and maintains the inventory control system. The essential functions of the Sales &Parts Sales position include:
- Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to promptly resolve issues raised by customers.
- Make necessary entries to inventory controls systems assuring proper records are kept with current pricing as well as the recording and entering of special orders.
- Promote preventive maintenance service specials and help educate our customers on how they benefit from them.
- Participate in all inventory counts as necessary.
- Participate in part returns as required following established procedures.
- Assist in verifying cost, price, and totals of parts invoices and repair orders.
- Properly track lost sales.
- Assist in pricing & stocking of displays and showroom.
- Maintain a current knowledge of product information through bulletins and catalogs and by participating in training requirements as directed by Parts Manager.
- Complete required documents before disbursing parts.
- Enter complete and concise information into the inventory control system records.
- Follow proper labeling and handling of defective merchandise.
- Maintains the parts room, retail sales floor and displays to meet or exceed company standards.
- Document discrepancies between inventory records and shelf quantities and notify parts manager.
- Assist in maintaining minimal inventory quantities, track orders and investigate problems.
- Deliver parts to customers and vendors as directed.
- Keeps all invoicing to customers current & correct.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times.
- Properly check in equipment dropped off for repair
- Help lookup & supply parts to the service department
- Work Schedule includes Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. & Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Requirements :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year industry related work experience is a plus
- Ability to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision
- Capable of communicating clearly
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Well established computer skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
