Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
Flowers Bakeries Sales of NorCal, LLC has an immediate opening for a Sales Merchandiser. A Sales Merchandiser is responsible for ordering, sales, and merchandising of a slate of national and locally-branded products. Position services various retail customers with the goal of maximizing sales opportunities. A Sales Merchandiser executes on marketing programs and provides excellent customer service.
The successful candidate must come to work with a neat, professional appearance (sometimes in a uniform) and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Tasks include ordering product, rotating product, selling in-store promotions and displays, following merchandising route structure and established service times, as well as knowing and following account standard operating procedures.
Adaptability and flexibility will be a must since Sales Merchandisers will need to service their accounts during the customer’s designated service windows and may need to work non-traditional business hours like weekends and holidays.
An eagerness to gain knowledge and skills about the industry along with the ability to work independently and as a team will be the key to success for a Sales Merchandiser.
Knead to Know: Desired Experience
- Minimum of one year of related sales experience.
Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements
- Must have a valid state driver’s license and documented safe driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines.
- Must be physically capable of movement to and within all facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- High School Diploma or GED.
