Job Summary

Embrace is seeking a Retail Sales Manager that solicits and originates investment quality loans that are acceptable to the company’s chosen investors and agencies. Develops and maintains a strong client referral base by selling the company’s loan products and services to meet the needs of its client base such as realtors, builders, home buyers, CPS’s, financial planners and others.

Responsibilities & Activities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain client referral relationships with realtors, builders, developers, CPA’s, financial planners and make sales calls on potential or existing customers in order to develop new business and/or retain existing business.
  • Keep informed of trends, changes, and developments in the local real estate market.
  • Keep up to date with changing rules, regulations, and guidelines from FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA in addition to other investors and agencies.
  • To keep informed of all origination, processing, appraisal, underwriting and closing requirements for both company and investor guidelines pertaining to both governments insured and privately insured mortgages.
  • Negotiate price, terms, and conditions with mortgages.
  • Coordinate customer interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing including, but not limited to: counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers; taking complete and accurate application; obtaining all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fees and lock in information; overseeing the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with term; assisting in collecting additional documents and promptly communicated loan status to all interested parties; and obtaining loan documentation after closing as directed by corporate or senior management.
  • Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Follow through on all professional conditions and education requirements for licensure.
  • Adhere to organizational procedures for loan processing.
  • Participate in branch/headquarter meetings that require attendance.
  • Performing such duties and assuming other responsibilities as may be assigned

Required Credentials

  • Education: College Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience required for consideration. Demonstrated success in the Sales field.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Systems: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Location Information:

Embrace supports hybrid work where business needs allow, but is rebuilding a community that looks forward to collaboration within an office setting. All remote work, if allowed, must be performed in a state in which Embrace is registered to do business or presently open to payroll withholding, unemployment insurance as well as workers compensation. Those states are as follows: Alabama, Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. Even if remote work is permitted, some presence in an office may be necessary based on needs, the nature of work, or in support of corporate sponsored events designed to build community. If your position requires an MLO license, you must be employed within commutable distance of an Embrace office (no home offices) and open to reporting to the office location when required.
