Home Power Systems is a Generac, Kohler, and Cummins generator dealer with locations in Buffalo, Farmington and Syracuse, NY. HPS is the leading installer of automatic home standby generators in Western and Central New York having installed over 5,000 home standby generators and has over 10,000 current service and preventive maintenance customers.

Home Power systems is looking to expand our team and is currently seeking a Sales Manager. In this position you would provide excellent leadership to the sales team and manage the overall sales process to service our HPS & CPS customers. You will be tasked with quickly and aggressively building a sales pipeline and developing a high-performance team. Developing the sales team through the facilitation of continued education. Help the company achieve long and short-term objectives, regarding positive culture, operational efficiency, sales growth, profitability, and public image.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the sales team to reach company goals.
  • Will oversee the hiring, terminating, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling employees, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments to ensure effective production.
  • Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate the sales team towards hitting company goals.
  • Establish client rapport to provide the right comfort solutions with the right products and services.
  • Developing key client relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Create sales proposals that are accurate, complete and can be easily transferred to the installation team.
  • Creates and manages budgets.
  • Help set aggressive sales plans, propose expansion, and dominate the market.
  • Generates reports and measures of departmental operations.
  • Evaluates staff to determine training requirements. Provides on-the-job training and support to employees.
  • Set team goals and conduct quarterly performance reviews with all team members.
  • Lead by example, using the established sales processes, and a high percentage of the leads that you and your team generate.
  • Ensuring that company standard operating procedures are being implemented and trained.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • 6+ years of sales experience in standby generator, electrical, HVAC, construction, or related field.
  • 4+ years of team management experience.
  • Experience with management in inside and outside sales.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation and customer service skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills with employees and customers.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Goal-driven and desire to succeed in a metric-driven environment.
  • Must be driven and can excel in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment.
  • Must have strong ethics and work as an effective, collaborative team member.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Work, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Service Titan or other CRM a plus.

Education:

  • Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school.
