Job Description
Project Overview:
This is a Sales Forecasting role. We are looking for a strong individual contributor with proven strategic and tactical experience in owning sophisticated forecasting and MS excel-based operational processes. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced environment where thinking big & diving deep are critical.
We are a highly collaborative close-knit Sales Forecasting team, there is a shared forecast analyst that supports the entire Sales Forecasting team with data management and technical related matters.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Manage SKU-level weekly Sales Forecasts for retail customer accounts.
- Key metrics: POS/sell-through (units), shipment/sell-in (units, $) and retailer inventory (units).
- Partner with Sales and Retail Forecast Teams to incorporate company strategies and regional trends into weekly Sales Forecasts.
- Perform ad hoc analyses used to optimize sales.
- Execute forecasting procedures and optimize existing forecast process efficiencies.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Own bottom-up forecasts for 4 accounts.
- Partner with Sales and Retail Forecast Teams to incorporate company strategies and regional trends into weekly Sales Forecasts.
- Perform ad hoc analyses used to optimize sales.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in business, math or science preferred (but not required), MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Forecasting, finance, business analysis, or related field with a consumer-packaged goods company, preferably in electronics.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is a requirement (advanced formulas, pivot tables, ability to troubleshoot existing macros/vba if needed).
- An affinity to “talking with numbers”; inherent aptitude to quantify and support conclusions with data.
- Clear and concise communication with internal business partners at varying management levels.
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
