Position Summary:
As an integral part of the NIC MAP Vision Sales Development Team, your role will encompass a variety of critical Sales Development tasks. You will be at the forefront of generating new business opportunities by identifying, nurturing, and qualifying leads. Your efforts will directly contribute to and execute a dynamic outbound strategy that enhances the top of the sales funnel. Embodying an entrepreneurial spirit, you will be adaptable, open to coaching, and possess a deep-rooted passion for enabling our customers to achieve success with NIC MAP Vision. Your performance and the achievement of your targets are linked to the broader success of business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and qualify outbound leads to meet/exceed SQL+ targets.
- Engage and qualify inbound leads for Account Executive closure.
- Combined inbound and outbound calls averaging 70 calls/day.
- Develop and execute innovative strategies to discover new potential clients.
- Master NIC MAP Vision products and target market nuances.
- Efficiently utilize essential sales tools for organizational and engagement purposes.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will bring 1-2 years of proven experience within a SaaS organization, showcasing exceptional communication skills and a sociable demeanor. A history of surpassing KPIs and a versatile understanding of sales across various industries are crucial. You should also possess excellent telephone etiquette, and desire to exceed daily performance indicators. You have a drive towards becoming a future Account Executive.
- Experience: 1-2 years in a SaaS sales environment, ideally in an SDR or Hunter role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Adaptive Thinker: Adept at thinking on your feet, capable of making informed decisions independently and resolving issues without escalation.
- Communication Skills: You are comfortable and proactive in communication, whether it be through phone calls or emails, excelling in clarifying, explaining, listening, and questioning when necessary.
- Empathy and Flexibility: You exhibit empathy towards the challenges of a growing company, showing a readiness to pivot and embrace new ideas with an open mind.
- Positive Mindset: You have a positive attitude towards your work and your daily outlook.
- Technical Proficiency: Your understanding of SaaS, basic technology, and product demonstration skills highlight your ability to engage with and articulate complex solutions.
- Track Record of Excellence: Your previous roles or academic achievements reflect a consistent pattern of excellence.
- Coach-ability: You are receptive to feedback and eager to learn showing a willingness to adapt and grow in sophisticated sales environments.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, adaptability, technical ability in sales tools (ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, SalesLoft, auto-dialers, Salesforce, Gong, Sales Navigator,), and a strong desire for career growth in sales.

Additional Information:
- Travel Requirements: Limited travel (1-2 times per year), with occasional days in our Raleigh, NC office.
