About the Role:
At Custom Industrial Products, the Sales Coordinator plays a pivotal role in collaborating closely with the sales team. This position involves meticulously entering sales orders and ensuring the careful maintenance of the sales order backlog. The Sales Coordinator engages with customers to update their orders, diligently tracks and manages progress from order entry to shipment, and maintains effective communication channels throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process sales orders obtained by the sales team.
- Update the CIP system with new and changed orders while maintaining quality control to ensure accurate orders.
- Track and monitor orders from order entry to shipment.
- Manage the exchange of customer drawings and order PE stamps.
- Provide Engineering with production orders and update orders based on customer or sales specifications.
- Communicate sold installations to the Project Coordinator and coordinate ship dates with management.
- Coordinate product shipping with customers and communicate ship date updates to department managers.
- Address customer inquiries regarding orders that have not yet shipped.
- Assist with incoming calls and provide phone coverage when needed.
- Occasionally collaborate with Finance on Accounts Receivable for outstanding Deposits.
Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Effective organization and time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
