Sales Associates primary responsibility is providing exceptional customer service. They offer
solutions to the customers needs, the help in the Helpful Place. Sales Associate must also assist
in maintaining a clean and stocked store. As a Cashier, they are to exemplify the foundation of our
service to each customer as they enter and leave the store.
In defining the lines, the responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
I. Pledge to keep the customer first and foremost. The promise we make to every
customer is, We pledge to be Ace Helpful. Helping you is the most important thing we
have to do today.
a. Maintain a positive image in the community.
b. Treat each customer as an honored GUEST:
i. G Greet each customer with a smile.
ii. U Uncover the customers needs by asking What project are you
working on today?
iii. E Exceed the customers expectations.
iv. S Strengthen the relationship with the customer.
v. T Thank the customer for shopping at Ace.
II. Complete assigned Ace Learning Place training and sales floor training with the Store
Manager, Sales Floor Manager, or Assistant Sales Floor Manager.
a. Gain proficiency in cutting keys, Acenet, Eagle, and any other sales floor duties.
III. Stock and face all warehouse, dropship, and outside vendor inventory. Stock and face
back stock when necessary.
IV. Be alert and communicate any shoplifting to management. Always practice safety to
avoid any incidents or accidents.
V. Listen, plan, and complete any tasks given by the Assistant Sales Floor Manager, Sales
Floor Manager, or Store manager.
a. Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the store.
VI. When cashiering, always give the customer 100% of your attention:
a. Welcome each customer that comes into the store and thank each customer for
their purchase.
b. Always ask if a customer has an ACE REWARDS card, if not, offer to sign them up.
Always ask if a customer would like to round up their change for donation.
c. Call for back up when 3 or more customers are waiting in line.
d. Answer the telephone promptly and clearly in accordance with the policies.
e. Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the checkout area. Stock and face the soda
machine and the miscellaneous product.
f. Be alert and communicate any safety or security concerns to management.

This is an hourly position that is available for both full and part-time hours. Any hours worked
over the minimum 40 are eligible for overtime. Any vacation and sick pay must be communicated
and approved by the Sales Floor Manager.
