POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Associate role establishes a partnership with and ensures the long-term success of our customers while meeting sales targets. The Sales Associate sells our home décor products in person at trade shows and via phone/email contacts to our existing customer base and to potential new buyers. Working from our corporate office, the Sales Associate will call on our small to medium sized accounts (or as assigned), to identify sales opportunities and maximize sales in an assigned market/category. Extensive travel is required, to key accounts, trade shows, and showroom set-ups.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Proactively promote all Allstate Floral product, including—but not limited to—floral, greenery, accessories, seasonal, holiday, furniture, and merchandising solutions.
- Serve as the customer's point of contact, working closely with the customer to gain insights into business pains and opportunities.
- Regularly contact customers via phone/email with onsite visits, as needed, ensuring all Allstate Floral products, training and POP are current.
- Develop new business through referrals, networking, and cold calling.
- Maintain customer and sales activity data in Salesforce.com. (Beginning in 2019)
- Attend trade shows to connect with new and existing customers and prospects.
- Resolve customer issues and manage/escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Review accounts regularly to identify additional sales opportunities and maximize sales in assigned markets/categories.
- Interact and coordinate with the sales team and other staff members in other departments working on the same account.

- Thoroughness - Ability to handle projects from conception to completion is necessary for this role.
TRAVEL
This position requires extensive travel that is primarily during business days but may include select weekends. Domestic or local travel is expected for customer meetings, vendor conferences, training, trade shows, and showroom set-ups that may last for multiple days at a time, 2-6 times per year; approximately 25%-50%.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- 2+ years of field sales and/or account management experience required
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
- Proven experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
- Great attention to detail and ability to follow up on multiple tasks
- Resilience and an ability to overcome objections
- Passionate about home decor; industry experience preferred
- Team player with positive can-do attitude
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred

SALARY RANGE (depending on experience): $19-$25, hourly
