Position Overview

Benson Stone Company is looking for a motivated Sales Associate to work in our Furniture Department. The Sales Associate will guide customers through furniture selection and customization while providing interior design advice and exceptional customer service. We're looking for a seasoned salesperson who is confident in their ability to build relationships, close sales, and develop long term customers.

The ideal candidate will have a good eye for design, and some interior design experience is preferred. We'll provide thorough training on the product lines.

This is a full-time position, working five days a week. Candidates must be willing to work on Saturdays. We are closed evenings, Sundays, and most major holidays.

Role & Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by greeting them and offering assistance
• Advise customers by articulating key features of different products
• Guide custom furniture design projects according to the customer's preferences and the layout of the home
• Provide a high level of customer service and follow-through
• Operate company POS system: document sales, update customer profiles, and process payments
• Visit customer homes for consultations as needed

Qualifications

• Outgoing, self-motivated, and enthusiastic personality
• Sales experience and ability to meet sales goals
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workflow
• An eye for tasteful interior design
• Competent with computer programs, point of sale systems, and general math
• Valid driver's license

Salary: $50,000 - $90,000 (Commissioned)
