Job Description
We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team! You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell company streaming ed-tech services to new and existing customers
- Prospect and contact potential customers
- Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
- Offer online demonstrations of our streaming services to potential customers
- Offer online webinars to train subscribers' staff in the use of our streaming services
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
- Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
- When asked, represent company at professional meetings
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in ed-tech sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Experience selling to our primary market (public libraries, middle schools and high schools, colleges and universities)
- Ability to use Salesforce
- Love of travel to cultural heritage sites, museums and/or college major in a field such as Art, Art History, Classics, History
- Conversant with computer technology and willingness to master new software
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Self-starter
- 15% commission on all sales you initiate and bring to a successful completion.
- 10% commission on sales initiated by others but assigned to you and successfully closed
We fulfill our mission through our two streaming services.
*Our Virtual Museum has hundreds of 3D models of classical sculpture in museums and private collections. Each object in the museum is accompanied by metadata giving you information comparable to what you typically find on a museum label. We also include links to vetted scholarly information available elsewhere on the Internet.
*Yorescape® is a word we coined based on “yore,” as in “days of yore,” and “-scape,” as in landscape. Yorescape is the name of our streaming platform for virtual tours taking you across space to see ruins in countries like Egypt, Greece, and Italy as well as back in time to see the ruins spring to life in computer reconstructions.
Our services run on mobile devices (iOS/Android), PCs (Mac/Windows), and VR headsets (Oculus). Whatever device is used, the content is the same.
Our business model is B2B. We sell annual subscriptions to secondary schools, colleges and universities, and public libraries. We are looking for Sales Associates who know this market and can help us to gain greater traction in it.
