· Provide exceptional customer service
· Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions as well as policies regarding payment, returns, exchanges
· Create and maintain patient files, following company and HIPAA policies regarding confidentiality
· Assess and interpret patients needs/wants based upon prescription requirements, facial features, lifestyle, and occupations, and suggest most appropriate products (i.e. frames, lens type, coatings)
· Take necessary measurements (i.e. measuring the patients pupillary distance, seg height and optical center)
· Prepare work order for lab ensuring all pertinent information is listed (i.e. patient information, prescription, lens size/type, measurements, special tinting or coating, etc)
· Pull correct lenses according to work order specifications
· Compute and process payment transactions/refunds using Acuity Logic POS system
· Calculate insurance co-pay based on insurance eligibility
· Educate patients on PEPP plan and encourage them to purchase PEPP
· Educate patients on Care Credit on a case by case basis
· Educate patient on how best to care for their glasses
· Maintain inventory: Price, stock and straighten merchandise
· Maintain up to date knowledge of products thru Leonardo learning platform
· Actively participates and contributes to a positive store environment, fostering professional relationships with peers, management, doctors and support staff
· Takes pride in appearance of store and shows initiative to keep displays & inventory clean, attractive & organized
· Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the Optical department manager
Must be available to work on Saturdays.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
