SUMMARY
As a key member of the Sales team, the Sales Assistant works closely with the Sales team supporting the planning and executing of sales meetings and presentations, creating sales reports, gathering samples, preparing sales materials and interacting daily with internal departments, customers and our manufacturing partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Sales & Merchandising:
- Assist sales lead to create line structures based on customer sales analysis.
- Collaborate with the Design, Sourcing and Packaging teams on new product development
- Work with Sourcing team on all pricing, review with Sales lead and maintain margin sheets
- Prepare for and attend both in person and virtual buyer meetings, including but not limited to: price sheets, presentations, samples, etc.
- Recap internal cross functional team members for sampling/final spec’ing/final costing
- Work with Product Coordinators, Sourcing and Packaging teams to ensure specs have been created properly.
- Create Excel files on products being purchased from lead buyers
- send internally to all cross functional team members for visibility and any incomplete product information
- send to lead buyers so orders can be written accordingly
- send to tag on buyers for quantity completion.
Production:
- Provide International Production team with new purchases
- Interface with International and US Production teams to ensure accurate and on time delivery
- Communicate any ship date changes necessary to the buyers and merchandise assistants
- Receive, retain, organize, and send BAS (buyer approval samples) to lead buyers.
Planning:
- Assist with the forecast of griege materials to reduce production lead-times
- Assist with the planning of both the assortment and quantities purchased for warehouse programs
- Assist sales lead with running sales reports for monthly budget meetings
- One plus years' Retail/Wholesale Home Goods experience
- Ability to Multi-task and Prioritize with a strong sense of urgency.
