What You Will Do:
Job Duties and Accountabilities
Responsible for retail sales performance of a defined territory of stores (20 Doors) and ensuring corporate goals are met. Develop all relevant counter personnel on sales strategy. Conduct frequent Intersell Trainings for Beauty Department Associates. Contribute to sourcing, hiring and Training of branded beauty advisors. Manage Beauty Advisors, Business Managers and Freelancers in executing RPA plans including events, promotional activities and launches. Develop strong clientele followings in their stores including the use of social media to promote awareness and engagement.
The expectation is that the Sales and Training Executive will spend 80% of their time in the field.
Key Challenges, Issues and Complexity
SALES
In-store seasonal planning and Visit execution
Coordinate seasonal events for national accounts. Plan and execute product launches, GWPs (Gift with Purchase), and PWPs (Purchase with Purchase) with store manager, department manager and business manager to ensure maximum visual effect and sales performance. Plan, communicate and execute all in-store events. Develop social media outreach in every store/counter and work with store PR, where applicable. Create & communicate text and image files for teams to reach out to clients for all client outreach.
Business Analysis
Responsible for daily, monthly and seasonal tracking of total retail performance within territory. Must maintain knowledge of the trends of individual business segments, i.e. Makeup, Skincare, Fragrance and all of the key business drivers within each segment.
Monitor competitive activity and competitive retail performance within the beauty department. Ensure that market share objectives are being met.
Maintain counter quality and merchandising
Monitor cleanliness of the counter display units and hold beauty advisors accountable for Lancome counter quality requirements. Execute and maintain all Lancome merchandising standards. Completion of Yoobic missions, where appropriate to comply. Assist stores with stock and visual where needed to best support the business needs.
Maintain budget
Maintain seasonal freelance budget, including sourcing freelance makeup artists, booking for appropriate events and executing their payments within the seasonal budget. Process T&E in a timely manner and within the guidelines.
Communication
Daily communication with Regional Sales Director regarding business performance and opportunities, including competitive feedback and feedback on L^ programs. Daily and Weekly communication with stores regarding event performance, employee turnover and Training (either in person or through conference calls/Teams calls). Arrange seasonal business manager meetings, where appropriate. Prepare and carry out seasonal retailer presentations, if applicable. Participate in and/or organize regional retailer strategy meetings.
EDUCATION/COACHING
Training and Development
Develop, motivate and educate Lancome line assigned Counter managers and Beauty Advisors as well as Multi-branded/Intersell Associates through in-person and digital training programs
Actively plan, execute and follow up on seasonal training in all doors.
Actively plan, execute and follow-up on new hire training using Digital Ecole and LL.com.
Train & Coach beauty advisors to increase sales by making sure s/he is fulfilling all the responsibilities and has appropriate knowledge of all key products. Teach beauty advisor how to maximize productivity by developing selling skills, customer service skills, booking events, mastering makeup application skills and product demonstration. Ensure all BAs are trained and using Beauty Tech Devices.
Train & coach business and counter managers to become strong team leaders and in store coaches for their beauty advisors.
Work closely with Area Education Director and Regional Sales Director to ensure that training standards are being met.
Make certain that beauty advisor representation reflects Lancome beauty advisor guidelines and L'Oréal diversity guidelines. Make certain we have brand advocates throughout the beauty departments (and other depts) through the development of strong relationships.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Sourcing/hiring/talent assessment
Contribute to the sourcing and interview candidates for business manager, beauty advisor positions and freelancers using Lancome Interview Guide, Talent Plus and Sourcing Applications in Talent Force. Ensure we have the best talent at all counters through systematic talent assessment based on brand goal achievement, productivity (SPH, IPT, AUS), makeup artistry skills, client registry level and quality, customer service, etc. Maintain accurate records on Talent Force to reflect correct staffing.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of 3 years' experience in cosmetic or retail management
Self -motivated, results oriented, creative, strategic thinker
Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
Analytical in approach to identifying business opportunities
Proven experience in recruiting, hiring, motivating and Training sales staff, with emphasis on strong engagement to build advocates in multi-branded departments while utilizing strong coaching skills
Results and solutions oriented
Proficient computer skills necessary- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Well versed in social media/digital outreach
The supervision required is close. There is daily communication between the Sales & Training Executive and the Regional Sales Director
