Mid-Atlantic based lighting manufacturer with breakthrough, patented products and disruptive technology has opening for an entrepreneurial approach in Sales and Marketing. We are looking for an energetic person, motivated and excited by the challenge of marketing a product that already has strong recognition and proven quality over several years in limited markets, with explosive growth potential when expanded nationally. This is a fast- growing market, which offers high value to the end user.
A proven ability to present, negotiate and close sales at the highest levels through lighting reps, specifiers and building owners is key. After developing increased national exposure, this position will include profit sharing and lead to a principal appointment, with an equity share of the business.
Position can be filled remotely, with regular visits to the factory. A minimum of five years of experience in the lighting industry, either through manufacturing or sales activity, is necessary. Operations include:
- Recognize leading markets for the products and travel frequently to selected sales representatives for motivational and technical training, with visits to key specifiers in the region.
- Responsibility for selecting, hiring and evaluating performance of sales representatives.
- Help create and develop concepts for marketing tools such as webinar presentations, product videos and press releases.
- Run webinar presentations and conferences for representatives and specifiers.
- Coordinate and oversee in-house and outside vendor services producing marketing and advertising programs, and videos.
- Supervise and coordinate operations of factory inside sales, customer service and technical sales support personnel.
- Regular phone and written communications with sales reps to review performance and update training and product information.
General experience with basic office programs is required, and some experience with graphics software such as Adobe Acrobat is useful. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent significant experience in Sales and Marketing in the lighting industry.
