JOB SUMMARY 
Provide compliant, cost-effective land base management and value added environmental services which include (but not limited to): working with the farming community to source acres for beneficial reuse of materials and regulatory permitting; nutrient management planning (NMP); support for operational compliance and product use; logistics and source destination management; regulatory monitoring and reporting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage land base inventory to meet operational requirements and provide strategic growth for the business.
  2. Prepare site applications and NMP’s as needed for sites. This may include: Soil and material sampling, analytical interpretation and waste characterization, geo-mapping services, interpretation of soil, tax, and topographical maps; and applicable regulations to determine land base acceptability and compliant product use.
  3. Facilitate compliance with all regulatory and permit conditions including frequent monitoring and reporting.
  4. Provide technical information and presentations to farmers, regulatory agencies, clients, and the public as needed.
  5. Participate in professional and agricultural organizations and seminars.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with current and future customers and regulators.
  7. Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in interactions with clients and the public.
  8. Perform work in a safe manner while recognizing safety hazards and improved processes/procedures.
  9. Support business needs for sustainability and growth.
  10. Provide soil and ground water evaluation.
  11. Field work to include, flagging setbacks, soil sampling, ensuring the field is in safe condition and suitable for operation of equipment.
  12. Certified crop consultant/advisor.
    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  13. Ability to grow knowledge of biosolids and other residuals management practices and regulations.
  14. Knowledge of concepts, practices, procedures, methods, and techniques used in agricultural and/or farming operations.
  15. Well developed written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel including executive management and customers.
  16. Strong interpersonal, problem solving and relationship building skills.
  17. Good organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
  18. Technology Savvy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Tools
  19. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced, and challenging environment.
  20. Ability to travel out of the area and stay overnight.
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES
  21. Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Soils, or Environmental Science preferred, or Associate in Agricultural, Soil or Environmental field with some experience. However, candidates with real world agricultural experience will be considered.
  22. Capable of achieving certification as a crop consultation and/or soil/ground water evaluator.
  23. Valid driver’s license
  24. Safe driving record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years
    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  25. Talking, Hearing, Seeing, Standing, Sitting, Walking, and Handwork.
  26. Operating company assigned 4x4 pickup truck.
  27. Subject to outside environmental conditions typical of the upper Midwest relate to temperature and precipitation.
  28. Subject atmospheric conditions and exposure to including but not limited to odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
  29. The worker is subject to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on ladders and high places, exposure to wastewater and wastewater residuals.
  30. This position requires some travel with overnight stays with flexibility for work from home office when applicable. Schedule will vary depending on customer needs, candidates must have flexible availability during seasonal peaks.
