ChampionX has an immediate need for a Safety Training Specialistlocated in Houston, TX. What You Will Do:

- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures (steeled toed shoes, safety glasses and other Personal Protective Equipment that is required must always be worn while performing job)
- Maintain high ethical standards
- Support Production and Automation Technologies safe driving program.
- Design targeted training programs aligned with the Smith Driving System.
- Create engaging materials tailored to our workforce's unique challenges.
- Train CHX employees to be Smith Systems Trainers
- Equip employees with defensive driving techniques, hazard awareness, and collision prevention skills.
- Facilitate interactive sessions on the Smith Driving System.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and tools including multimedia presentations, interactive exercises, and group discussions to effectively engage learners and enhance learning outcomes.
- Ensure practical understanding of the 5 Keys of the Smith System.
- Evaluate adherence to Smith principles through driver assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback to employees.
- Collaborate with leadership to embed safe Driving policies.
- Monitor compliance and address deviations promptly.
- Stay informed about industry best practices.
- Enhance training content based on feedback and emerging trends.
- Stay informed about state and federal driving laws and regulations.
- Work autonomously, demonstrating self-motivation.
- Efficiently coach trainers and schedules training to meet objectives.
- Other duties as required.
Position Details:
- Candidate must reside in: Houston, TX or surrounding areas
- Travel to locations throughout the United States
- Work week and shift: Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM
- Compensation package offered: Competitive salary and eligibility for bonus program

- On the job training driving policies and driver training program

- PPE requirements include safety glasses, steel toes, hard hat and FRC
Minimum Qualifications:
- Safe driving record and a valid driver’s license.
- 5 years of relevant experience in Safety Training or related fields.
- Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Skilled in using various software, websites and other multimedia platforms for training.
- Proven experience in delivering effective driving Safety Training.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Regular attendance and punctuality are expected upon accepting this position
- Prepared to travel both by land and air at a minimum of 65% to deliver training sessions in North America locations.
- Effective communication and engagement abilities with employees at all levels.
- Strong passion for learning and development.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Physical Demands:
- Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Safety specialist experience
- Effective creating and implementing a Safety Training program.
- Certification in the Smith Driving System or equivalent.
- DOT experience: Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulation
