JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Safety Manager with a strong background in both OSHA regulations and the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA guidelines, and implementing environmentally sustainable practices across our operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Lead safety audits and inspections, identifying potential hazards, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Lead safety training sessions for team members, emphasizing proper procedures and the importance of adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Stay up-to-date with OSHA regulations and proactively adapt safety practices to ensure compliance.
  • Drive a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization with Team Leaders and Safety Teams.
  • Lead the monitoring and managing of environmental sustainability efforts, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and pollution prevention.
  • Lead the identification of opportunities to minimize the company's environmental footprint and support the development of eco-friendly initiatives.
  • Lead in guiding different departments on environmental compliance and sustainability matters.
  • Ensures manufacturing operations are in accordance with Regal's Safety Standards, including:
  • Ensure that workplaces are safe and employees follow proper safety procedures
  • Be proactive in preventing safety related incidents
  • Lead in creating awareness of safe behavior and teach required skills for working safely
  • Lead in ensuring employees have the proper tools and equipment, including PPE, to work safely and prevent accidents
  • Ensures manufacturing operations are in accordance with Regal's Safety Standards, including:
    • Ensure that workplaces are safe and employees follow proper safety procedures
    • Be proactive in preventing safety related incidents
    • Create awareness of safe behavior and teach required skills for working safely
    • Ensure employees have the proper tools and equipment, including PPE, to work safely and prevent accidents

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and a proven track record of successful safety management.
  • Experience in manufacturing, with a deep understanding of safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively lead training sessions and interact with team members at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate incidents, analyze data, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing environmentally sustainable practices.
  • Tech-savvy skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software tools.
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) or environmental management (e.g., CEM, CEP).
  • Previous experience as a safety leader in the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 standards and environmental management systems.
  • Experience collaborating with regulatory agencies and auditors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive change through innovative ideas.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Work Environment
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees fahrenheit at times.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
