Role Summary
Magna at Eagle Bend Manufacturing is hiring an experienced Safety, Health & Environmental (SH&E) Coordinator to join our team. The SH&E Coordinator will be responsible for the plant Ergonomics and assist with all other SH&E continual improvement and risk prevention activities at Eagle Bend Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
- Champions positive SH&E culture at EBM by promoting continual improvement to all SH&E and ergo systems, ability effectively identify workplace hazards and mitigate as appropriate
- Assists SH&E Manager in EBM Safety Committee activity
- In conjunction with Maintenance and Program Engineering, develops process Lock Out Tag Out procedure instructions
- Conducts routine SH&E audits and effectively implements new safety plans and/or guidelines
- Record keeping for work related accidents for Worker’s Compensation, including internal injury tracking logs and OSHA 300 forms.
- Provide applicable SH&E training to Team Leads, Supervisors, and Managers, as needed
- Maintain a floor SH&E presence to support production, all shifts.
- Cross train in EBM Environmental Compliance Program
- Assists in New Hire Orientation SH&E training
- May provide supervisory support for off shift SH&E technician(s)
- Effective cross-functional team planning and execution of Emergency Response drills
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- B.S. degree in SH&E or related field preferred, or demonstrates progress to same *or*
- Up to three (3) years experience in an industrial manufacturing setting with an emphasis on Ergonomic
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees
- Critical thinking and high functional ability to problem solve from a Systems perspective
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Professional presence and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a cross functional team.
- Excellent time management, ability to multi-task, self-starting, maintain a sense of urgency

Additional Information
Working Conditions
- Production floor and office environment in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing setting
- Extended periods of sitting and standing, frequent walking, occasional lifting not to exceed 40 lbs (pounds)
- Occupational noise exposure, hearing protection required when on shop floor (in addition to other required personal protective equipment PPE elements)
