Job Description
- This position requires a high degree of professionalism with respect to analytical skills, problem solving techniques, oral communications, leadership, delegation, planning/organizing, management skills and quality management techniques. The successful candidate will exercise extremely sound judgment and will possess the highest level of ethical standards.
Job Duties
- Promote understanding and implementation of VIP and Customer safety and health policies on and off the job.
- Responsible for assuring field safety audits are performed on the job site, the results are evaluated, and corrective action is implemented. Communicate corrective actions and report all findings to EHS management and Job Supervision.
- Moderate and assist supervision with daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Responsible for hazards recognition and remediation
- Assist with EHS inquiries from customers. Participate in customer required safety meetings while on the jobsite.
- Assist and provide support with work permits.
- Be a resource for employees involving any EHS related concern.
- Evaluation of employees fit for duty status.
- Provide 1st aid and injury management on the jobsite.
- Work under and support EHS management in injury management and incident investigation.
- Assist instructors with administering mandatory safety training as needed.
- Understands & maintains a work ethic in accordance with the company’s clearly defined mission, objectives, and beliefs.
- Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve a safe work process.
- Performs other duties as required.
Key Requirements
- High school diploma (secondary education is a plus)
- Minimum CSST “Certified Site Safety Technician”, or equivalent certification required. (Additional and or higher certifications are a plus)
- Minimum 3 years safety experience, preferably in an industrial environment or turnaround type work.
- Must have a driver license and a clean driving record.
- Must have a clean background check, have Basic Plus, TWIC, and can obtain a United States Passport.
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to meet all physical requirements of the job.
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Able to work overtime and on holidays as required by workload
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules
- Performs other duties as required
