Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Answer phone calls and provide information about reservations, wait times, and restaurant services
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with taking to-go orders and packaging them for guests
Experience:
- Previous experience as a host/host or in a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Aloha POS or similar restaurant management software is a bonus
- Understanding of food service and hospitality industry standards
- Ability to work well in a team and provide exceptional guest services
