Position Details
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists instructors and/or office staff with camp management during class hours, lunch, and breaks.
- Ensures the welfare, health, and safety of campers during day and/or residential programs if assigned.
- Checks in with campers promptly and ensuring they are dismissed safely and effectively.
- Records and reports attendance.
- Assists RCA administrators in organizing and maintaining campers and camp information.
- Undertakes other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
- Must be responsible, patient, and detail oriented.
- Must complete the training as required by the university including and not limited to, University’s Protection of Minors.
- Lifting supplies and equipment when necessary.
- Will chaperone campers around and on off-campus field trips.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
