Position Goal: Saint Ignatius College Prep in Chicago is searching for both Varsity and Novice rowing coaches to join their coaching staff. This part-time coaching position is the perfect opportunity for an individual looking to develop their coaching skills with an established rowing program.
Founded in 1996, Saint Ignatius Chicago Rowing (SICR) provides a rare, highly desirable coed opportunity for Saint Ignatius College Prep students to participate in the sport of rowing. SICR strives to develop its young men and women into the best versions of themselves while promoting the furtherance of rowing among amateurs, more particularly the instruction, improvement, and competition in, and enjoyment of, the art of rowing. Saint Ignatius' rows out of the Eleanor Boathouse in Chicago.

Responsibilities:
- Student Athlete Development: Using motivation to promote hard work and discipline, one of your core responsibilities is to develop student-athletes into the absolute best version of themselves, both on and off the water.
- Coaching: You will be responsible for planning and executing calculated practice sessions (water and land) geared towards producing results.
- Recruiting & Advancement: You will become an advocate for SICR, leveraging your strengths and resources in an effort to grow the overall team and their standings.
- Driving Results: Through exceptional Student Athlete Development, premier Coaching and relentless Recruiting & Advancement, you will have the tools to produce outstanding results for SICR.
Qualifications:
- Experience rowing or coxing in high school, college, or as part of a club
- Commitment to 15hrs per week during the Fall and Spring seasons
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Openness to feedback and personal development
