Route Delivery Driver - Amazon Delivery Service Partner

The Company:

Express Mile LLC is a locally-owned and family operated business that is a part of Amazon Logistics' last mile delivery operations as a Delivery Service Partner (DSP).

We deliver thousands Amazon packages each day throughout the Atlanta Metro area to customer homes and businesses and are looking for hard working self-starters searching for their next step up. We operate 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year in all kinds of weather to serve and delight customers -- while respecting and valuing every driver associate.

The Position:

• After successfully completing your initial training, you will drive all types of Amazon branded delivery vehicles. Our fleet currently includes Cargo Vans, Custom Delivery Vehicles (CDV's) and Step Vans in our fleet.
• A DOT Medical Card will berequired to operate Step Vans, so you must currently possess an active DOT card, or have the ability to obtain a DOT card through the Company. A CDL is helpful but not required.
• The current shift starting time is 9:30 AM.
• The shift ending time will vary daily, depending on route volume, traffic, weather, etc.
• Full time work schedules usually consist of 3 to 4 consecutive 10+ hour days per week, including weekends and most holidays.
• You should expect to make over 180 stops per day, driving a commercial vehicles in all kinds of weather, getting in and out to deliver packages weighing up to 50 pounds to customer residences and businesses.
• You'll work as a team by assisting fellow drivers to complete their routes as required at the completion of your route.
• Bi-weekly pay schedule (currently paid every other Friday).
• You’ll load out of Amazon's state of the art delivery station located in Fairburn, GA.

Baseline Qualifications & Requirements:

All candidates are required to:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving history and successfully complete a DOT application that requires providing 3 full years of address, employment, and MVR history, as well as other documentation as determined by our external partner, J.J. Keller.
• Successfully complete Company paid training provided through the Company and our partner, J.J. Keller, as well as a DOT physical and road test.
• Be able to operate delivery vehicles safely and professionally, including: wearing seat belts 100% of the time while driving; consistently completing both pre-trip and post-trip online Driver Vehicle Inspection Checklists (DVIC's) at the start and end of each work day; and maintaining excellent driver rating "FICO" scores based on vehicle acceleration, braking, cornering, while avoiding distracted driving and speeding, plus other indicators.
• Project a professional image that includes wearing a complete Company provided uniform set each work day.
• Be familiar and able to operate a smart phone and camera using various Amazon apps and GPS technology without aide.
• Have the ability to climb stairs and walk significant distances on a regular basis in all types of weather.
• Undergo and successfully pass a pre-employment background and motor vehicle records check, plus drug screening.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Previous professional driving experience would be considered a plus.
