JOB SUMMARY:
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies aircraft components by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle sub-components, consumables, and expendables to correct failures or implement upgrades or modifications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows technical data, company procedures, and established industry processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).
- Perform validation and verification testing of components.
- Troubleshoots complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to isolate mechanical or other faults and repairs faulty components.
- Operate shop equipment to disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair aircraft components and assemblies.
- Perform corrosion control, maintenance inspections, miscellaneous duties to service components and test equipment, documents maintenance, records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily.
- Support the configuration of aircraft components and bench test equipment as required.
- Assist other employees to understand / solve problems; develops and sustains productive customer relationships.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant license preferred. - 0-6+ months aircraft maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
