Rotary Die Cutter Operator Summary:
The Rotary Die Cutter Operator is responsible for all activities associated with running the Rotary Die presses including setup, operation, inspection, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
Rotary Die Cutter Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets up presses in accordance with proper set-up techniques and work instructions or set-up diagrams.
- Inspects rollers, anvils, and dies for damage, before and after each run.
- Monitors product quality, including, but not limited to, unwind and rewind tensions, visual defects, correct dimensions, and their comparison to the product drawing.
- Maximizes the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Trains and assists Inspector/Packers with job duties on the machine.
- Completes necessary production reports in an accurate and timely manner. Reports include, but are not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
- Turns in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Proactively maintains equipment.
- Adheres to production schedule and notifies supervisor when schedules or due dates will not be met.
- Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, and service goals. Reports any unusual scheduling issues to supervisor.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
Rotary Die Cutter OperatorQualification Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- 6+ months’ experience in the Rotary Die cutting industry utilizing adhesives and or plastic films or12+ months’ experience in a manufacturing environment with experience operating and setting up automatic or semi-automatic equipment preferred.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment or medical device industry highly desired.
- Proficient reading, writing and math skills.
- Ability to read rulers, calipers, and micrometers accurately.
- Ability to read and understand product drawing, specifications, and product quality specifications.
- Experience with laminating adhesives to plastic films and die cutting highly desired.

Pay Range: $19 - $22 per hour. Offer is dependent on the market location, the individual's related skills, experience and background.
