SalaryPosition Purpose:
Responsible for enhancing patient and family satisfaction by collecting and recording their food selections. Assists in ensuring that patients receive foods/meals according to their prescribed diet. Works closely with Clinical Nutrition and other IDT to ensure patient's nutrition needs are being met.
What you will Do:
- Assists in assuring patients receive food according to prescribed diets.
- Documents patient intake.
- Communicates relevant clinical observations to the patient care team.
- Maintains safe, clean, and organized patient room and unit kitchenette.
- Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.
Hours/Schedule:
1.0 FTE; 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period; typical hours are 7:00am- 5:30pm but can vary, does include weekend and holiday rotation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians while performing their job duties.
- Intermediate language, intermediate reasoning ability; ability to read; basic math; ability to measure weights/volume.
- Knowledgeable regarding hand hygiene and food safety.
- Strong customer relations and communication skills.
- Ability to be dependable and to follow through on written and verbal instructions.
