Roll Off Company in SWFL hiring Experienced Drivers
POSITION SUMMARY:
-A CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating a Roll Off truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, a CDL Roll Off Driver is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company’s safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle.
-Secure containers by attaching hook to container; uses control levers to pull container up on the bed of the truck, secures straps and tarp individual containers as necessary.
-Provides Distinguishable Different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the general public and customers. Exhibits a positive attitude towards company, customer and municipal goals.
-Maintains clean truck and washes exterior weekly. Inspect/Clean Truck: Lift hood, inspect under the hood, walk around and check under carriage; pump fuel, check fluid levels and air tires daily - Uses air gauge, dipstick for levels, and gas pump nozzle for fuel fill.
-Responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with DOT and company standards.
-Completes daily vehicle condition reports to ensure that all vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the the state of Florida. Requires a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older w 5 yrs minimum CDL License
- Understanding of Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Maintain written records
- Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch and supervisors, understand highway and traffic signals and be able to make legible entries on paperwork
Must be able to do some labor work around shop & light maintenance of trucks
