About our Rock Band Program:
Our Rock Band Program (Learn Music Legends) is a collaborative band program that matches students of similar ages and skill levels, giving them the opportunity to grow musically and as leaders while developing interpersonal skills in a dynamic and creative environment.
Job Purpose
Individuals who are hired for this position are expected to cultivate a positive, encouraging environment in which individual students can learn to play music in a group setting. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a Weekly 1-Hour Rock Band rehearsal.
• Teaching students their individual parts for each song and helping the band put all those parts together.
• Helping students pick songs each quarter that would be a good fit for their band.
• Making sure the songs that are picked are appropriate content-wise.
• Filling out a weekly Google Sheet updating the Legends Director on the progress of each band.
• Maintaining the Legends Mastersheet spreadsheet each week.
  • This sheet includes Song Names, Artists, the key of the song that will be performed in, links to the chart the bands are using, and any arrangement notes. This allows the student's private lesson teachers to have all of the information they need to work on the songs with their students each week.
• Actively preparing bands to participate in quarterly Legends showcases.
• Attending all showcases.
• Regularly checking and responding to all emails and Slack messages.
• Attend all all-staff meetings (4 per year).
