Roadway Engineer

Hire Resolve's client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Roadway Engineer in Raleigh NC.

Responsibilities

• Gathering data
• Setting horizontal
• Vertical alignments
• Perform engineering calculations
• Preparation of plans.

Requirements

• Minimum of BS in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred or EIT with 5+ years of related experience.
• 5-7 years of engineering experience in transportation/design and strong technical skills in roadway design is required.
• Experience with North Carolina Department of Transportation systems, policies, and procedures is preferred.
• Advanced level proficiency with design related software such as MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, Geopak, and Corridor Modeler, particularly Word and Excel - is required.
• Must be proficient in reading and understanding surveys, drawings, and legal descriptions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to communicate with all levels of staff.
• Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision with a focus on client service (internal and external).
• Highly motivated to learn and grow professionally in a supportive team environment.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
• Must be a US Resident or have a Green Card.
