- RN Unit Manager provides supervision, guidance, and direction to staff in both clinical & personnel issues on the Short-Term/Subacute Unit
- RN Unit Manager will direct, plan, or assist in establishing daily operations (mealtimes, medication administration, activities, etc.) of resident care on unit
- RN Unit Manager will provide support to resident/families in dealing with clinical issues and challenges
- RN Unit Manager will participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement
- RN Unit Manager will attend meetings; Morning, Clinical, Care Plans, and QAPI on time & prepared
- Communicate pertinent information to appropriate parties to assure resident/family needs are met
- Perform daily rounds on unit & assessments (Admission, Elopement, Pain, etc.)
- Develop, document, & communicate plan of care
- Investigate timely Incidents & Accidents related to residents
- Utilizes appropriate lines of authority & methods of communication in problem solving (i.e. refers problems to ADON/DON as necessary)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or three (3) years’ experience in LTC/SNF
- Current & good standing RN License in State of New York
- Progressive nursing experience is desirable
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
- Flexible to work longer hours or occasional weekends
- Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled
- Thorough knowledge of medical, social, & psychological needs of residents
- Possess a spirit of cooperation & enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation/growth
- Utilize good judgment & handle emergencies with calm & intelligent response
- Experience in utilizing EMR systems (SigmaCare exp. a huge plus!)
- Excellent communication (verbally & written), interpersonal, customer service, & organization skills
- Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all residents, families, vendors, service providers, and staff.
