Job Summary:

The RN Trauma Program Specialist supports the optimal outcome for injured patients by coordinating key elements of the Trauma Process and Patient Safety Program which include patient care coordination, improvement of clinical process through active participation in the evaluation of patient care and the development and refinement of trauma care guidelines, protocols and trauma education and training.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

 

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • 3 years recent RN hospital experience
  • 1 year recent RN experience in a critical care area (ICU or Emergency Department)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Membership to a related professional organization preferred (Society of Trauma Nurses, Emergency Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses), preferred
  • Trauma Performance Improvement experience and/or Level I trauma center ICU or ED experience strongly preferred

Education requirement:

  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • ASN/Nursing Diploma required
  • BSN strongly preferred

License/Certifications required:

  • CO RN license required or Compact RN license
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required
  • TNCC required upon hire or within one year of hire/transfer

 

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)

 

**This is NOT a remote position, and will require that the employee sit at our facility located at St Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO**

Pay Range:

$40.77 - $70.99 / hour
