1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Bedside management of up to six patients. Foley insertion, IV insertion, NG insertion, cardiac monitoring, post-surgical management
*Must have Cardiac Tele experience
We have a lot of post-cath, post-stent, post-CABG patients
2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Computerized charting with Epic, Pyxis medication and supply, cardiac monitoring, zoll defibrillator
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
ACLS is preferred, minimum of 2 years experience
4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
ACLS preferred, BLS required
5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
No call required, three 12 hour shifts per week with rotating weekends, will not work alone
6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
Yes, Telemetry, Med-Surg/Observation, Medical Oncology, Surgical
7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
17 private rooms with semi-private capability of up to 32 max
8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
6:1 max
9. Dress Code:
Navy blue scrubs, shoes-white, black, or match your scrubs
