Astria Health is seeking a Surgical Services Director to join our team!
This position is a key leadership role responsible and responsible for the day to day operations of assigned Surgical Services, and implements and supports hospital personnel policies, administrative view of contractual issues, and concepts developed by the nursing management team.

As the Surgical Services Director you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the Surgical Services compassionate and efficient patient care team. This role will be pivotal in providing and promoting a professional environment that utilizes effective delegation of responsibility, sharing in the team's impact on all aspects of the emergency room and services at the hospital, performing technical aspects of pre-hospital emergency care. You will:
- Supervise and lead a team of emergency room nurses, ensuring adequate staffing and effective resource allocation.
- Oversee patient admissions, triage, and discharge processes to maintain efficiency and quality of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and streamline operations.
- Implement and enforce hospital policies and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Evaluate and manage department budgets, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and addressing performance gaps and implementing staff development programs.
- Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries and model the core values and standards of the organization.
