MAJOR FUNCTION: Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and condition of the patient. The RN uses the principles of growth and development and physical assessment to develop a plan of care which incorporates these principles. The RN must have the ability to implement the plan, to supervise others with the implementation and assess its effectiveness. The RN must be knowledgeable of the policy and procedures of the department and delegate appropriate procedures and supervise their implementation by others. The RN is responsible for the coordination of patient's care.
QUALIFICATION:
A. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current licensure in the State of New Jersey. BSN required for all new hires within 5 years of start date.
B. Experience: 2 years applicable skills, high quality of nursing competence and assessment skills.
C. Certification/Licensure: Current licensure in the State of New Jersey
BLS required
National certification in area of specialty preferred.
