Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Pre-Admission Testing Nurse. This position is ideal for a new graduate looking to start their career in healthcare. As a PAT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transition of patients from the pre-operative stage to surgery.
Requirements:
- Must have a RN license in the state of New Jersey (not be waiting to be licensed)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required
- Proficiency in basic computer skills is required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly, organized, and dependable
Responsibilities:
- Collects medical history from patient scheduled for surgery
- Reviews surgery instructions
- Obtains copies of laboratory tests, X-rays, and other pre-operative results ordered by the physician
- Collaborates and communicates clearly with healthcare team
- Maintains close communication with surgical scheduler
- Enters all relevant information into patient’s electronic chart
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
