RN Operating Room/Ambulatory Surgery -Per Diem

We have fantastic Per Diemopportunities for a experienced OR and Ambulatory Nurses to join our team.

Job Duties include:

• Provides for safety in the coordination and delivery of care.
• Consistently communicates with patients by listening attentively and providing feedback to ensure that all needs are met in a timely manner.
• Assess and reassesses patients' status, initiating and resolving patient goals.
• Treating patients accurately and safely according to unit specific parameters and best practices.
• Provides for patient confidentiality, privacy and dignity.
• Responds appropriately in emergency situations.
• Identifies and immediately reports any hazardous situations to management.
• Actively participates to improve and maintain patient satisfaction scores
• Responds in a professional and timely manner to requests for information from co-workers.
• Participates in patient flow initiatives by facilitating transfers and discharges in a timely manner.
• Strives to exceed expectations of all patients and families.

Education and Requirements:

• 1-3 yrs of prior experience as an OR or Ambulatory Surgery Nurse
• New York State Nursing License.
• BLS
• Associate's degree required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Infection control training certification in specialty preferred
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
