The role of the Nurse Consultant is a varied role. We provide interim support for leadership positions as well as survey support, education, project work etc. The ability to travel is required.
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Nurse Consultant to join our team. As a Nurse Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and guidance to healthcare organizations and professionals.
Your expertise in resident care, knowledge of the regulations and survey management, are all key skill sets. A great consultant is one who has emotional intelligence, understands how to engage the client with humility and determination while moving the facility forward towards success.
Duties:
- Provide consultation services to healthcare organizations and professionals on best practices and compliance with regulations
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of healthcare facilities to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance resident care and safety
- Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans and treatment protocols
- Educate healthcare staff on what constitutes facility risk and how to manage through it.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in medical research, technology, and healthcare policies
Qualifications
- Valid RN nursing license
- Proven experience as a nurse in a LTC setting
- In-depth knowledge of VA reporting
- Familiarity with regulations for A.L. and SNF
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
