Summary
Vincentian Home, a senior community in Pittsburgh’s North Hills, is in need of a Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Excellence Team. The RN is responsible and accountable for the care of a group of residents, exercising autonomy by independent decision making related to resident care issues. The RN utilizes the nursing process by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care while collaborating with and direction other clinical excellence team members.

What You’ll Do at Vincentian
Working with our clinical excellence team, you’ll evaluate resident’s needs, condition, and care, and assist in developing nursing care plans for individual residents, including rehabilitative and restorative activities and instruction in self-help. You’ll admit and orient new residents, check physician orders, transfer, and pre-admission information. You’ll transcribe physician’s orders to residents’ Medical Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR) in resident record, periodically reviews care plans with resident’s physician and nursing team, maintain narcotic records, unit records, and perform charting duties.
You’ll also orient and supervise training of new nursing employees, provide instruction and supervise assigned employees, and assist other nursing staff in providing care to residents, as well as other duties as assigned.
About You
Our Registered Nurse must meet the following requirements:
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in good standing or a Temporary Practice Permit required.
- Appropriate clinical knowledge of nursing care, significant signs and symptoms of disease, sterile and aseptic techniques, nursing procedures and treatment, and developed skills to provide technical nursing care required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, computer literacy, computer keyboarding skills, knowledge of basic office equipment and electronic health record knowledge.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in long term care preferred.
