Job Description: Registered Nurse, Mother Baby Unit (MBU)

Pay Scale: $36.64 - $68.37 an hour

Shift Differential: Evenings (3pm - 11pm): $2.75, Nights (11pm - 7am): $4.00, Standby: $4.00, Weekend: $3.75

Shifts Available:

• Night Shift: Full Time, 24 hrs/wk, 7:00pm - 7:30am
• Night Shift: Full Time, 36 hrs/wk, 7:00pm - 7:30am

Supplemental Schedule:

• Weekends: RN’s need to be available to work every other weekend,. Night Shift weekends: Friday & Saturday. Day Shift weekends: Sunday & Monday.
• Holidays: All employees at some point or another may be required to work a holiday, however, seniority with nurses allows most to take PTO off. We have On-call/Per diem people that we use to help cover the holidays. If you do work a holiday, then you make time and a half for that time worked.
• On Call Requirement: None, but can be put on low census stand by (LCSB) which then requires a 30 minute arrival time. No call rooms for staff. Not very common, but can come up.

Qualifications:

• License: Current Washington State RN Licensure. Compact not accepted. Can submit candidates that have NCLEX scheduled, open to offering positions contingent on passing NCLEX for the right candidate.
• Certification: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP (AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Intermediate AWHONN-EFM (Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course, Advanced Fetal Monitoring course will be considered acceptable.) Willing to work with candidates on certifications.
• Experience: New grads accepted.
• Education: ASN accepted.
• Preferred: Prefer to be able to work L&D too. Prefer S.T.A.B.L.E. certification. RN-C Preferred. BSN & 2 Years of Recent Experience as a Mother/Baby Nurse in a Level III Trauma Center preferred.

Responsibilities: As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to specific physician orders. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. Our Mother-Baby Unit nurses work both L & D and postpartum. Approximately 1000 Deliveries per Year, Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards, Rooming in with Baby, Some procedures completed in the Well Baby Nursery.
