MotherCare Natural Birth Center in Millersburg, Ohio is looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN or LPN to join us as a dedicated Night Nurse at our birth center. Duties during night shifts will include birth assisting and immediate postpartum care giving (including assisting our Midwife with her duties and then assisting with the care of the mamas and babies after the birth) and also helping to care for the mamas and babies while they stay with us during the night before going home. On most shifts you will have only one mama and baby to care for, providing you with a highly satisfying and personal nursing experience! Both experienced nurses and new grads welcome! :)
```Responsibilities:```
- Provide direct patient care, patient education, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures
- Document patient information and charting
- Monitor and communicate with Midwife regarding patient well-being (Midwife is onsite through the entire labor and birth process of each birthing patient, and you will work as a team.)
```Schedule```
- You will be called in to work to work night-shift (9p-9a) whenever we have a patient in-house (approx 5-10 shifts per month). Since babies don't preschedule the date of their arrival ;), you must be willing to be on call up to 25 shifts per month, $500/ month for being on call (paid per the on-call shift). Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Flexible scheduling, paid-time-off.
