Wilson Health is seeking a dynamic, hands-on nurse leader to serve as the Family Birth CenterNurse Manager at our Sidney, Ohio location.

Wilson Health’s award winning Family Birth Center has 10 spacious birthing suites; 4 recovery/post-partum rooms for C-section deliveries; and 3 observation rooms. We offer a midwifery program, water births, and International Board Certified Lactation consultants who provide lactation services and breastfeeding support.
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing the Family Birth CenterNurse Manager will provide the staff development expertise as a leader, educator, consultant, facilitator, and change agent for Wilson Health’s Family Birth Center. This is an amazing opportunity for a nurse leader looking to make an impact and develop their leadership skills.
The Role You Will Contribute:
As the Family Birth CenterNurse Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision of patient care, nursing staff and OB operations. While working collaboratively with the Nurse Leadership team at Wilson Health, you will facilitate efficient clinical operations, staff development, and quality improvement in the Family Birth Center. You will participate in forming Wilson Health’s strategy for the Family Birth Center in collaboration with the Director to develop and implement programming in an effort to increase market share. Twenty-four hour accountability for assigned unit required.
The Value You Will Bring to the Team:
  • You will plan, direct and coordinate all operational activities for the Family Birth Center. You will contribute to the development of policies, procedures and quality improvement programs in collaboration with the Director to be consistent with current evidence based nursing research and nationally recognized professional standards.
  • You will use your expertise in problem solving, decision making and communication when interacting with a variety of staff including leadership, medical, and support staff within other departments at Wilson Health.
  • You will support the Nursing Director with the development and maintenance of capital and operating budgets.
  • You will be responsible for the design and maintenance of a competent staffing model to ensure effective patient and staff experience. You will collaborate with the Human Resources Department on the selection of new staff members.
  • You will be part of a leadership team makes a significant contribution to the public's perception of the hospital. You will be an active participant in community outreach programs and partnerships.
  • You will be responsible for development and enforcement of policies and procedures that ensure quality patient care. You will be responsible for quality and performance improvement activities in department while continuously improving positive customer satisfaction results.
  • You will be responsible for positive employee engagement and appropriate communication with staff.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines as set by federal, state, local and other agencies.
  • You will coach and provide feedback to employees including constructive critique of work and facilitation of individual development plans.
The Experience and Expertise You Will Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • 3-5 years of nursing leadership in OB/Labor and Delivery is required
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate successful leadership in an organization through change.
