The Surgery department at Porter Adventist Hospital has 21 Operating Room (OR) suites, including a 26 Centura Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vet hybrid suite. The OR specializes in total joint replacement, complex spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, ophthalmic, DaVinci and orthopedic robotics, ENT, and general surgery. Transplants include liver, living related kidney, and paired kidney exchanges. The OR does many high acuity, complex surgical cases. The unit mission is to provide high quality health care by adhering to national standards for surgical care. The OR provides the opportunity to join a specialty surgical team which promotes a high level of expertise within each service line. The OR team is supportive of associates' professional growth and competence. OR team members are highly motivated, action oriented, and have great attention to detail.

 

As an RN Cliical Transplant Coordinator at Porter Adventist Hospital you will be managing patients during their clinic visits, ordering tests and procedures to determine transplant candidacy, working closely with the physician team to review testing results, nurse navigator for patients going through the transplant process. Sending referrals for outside services needed.  Also includes several patient phone calls, listing and maintaining the wait list registration for transplant candidates, declining patients for transplant and providing explanation to patients of reasoing, and providing education to patients.

 

Schedule:

• M-F, 8 hour days
• Call Requirements: 1 week of call rotating every 10 weeks.
  • Call is light and can be taken virtually.

What You Bring/Job Requirements:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• Required Experience:
  • One year of experience in critical care and/or transplant preferred
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently

• Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.

• Required Licensure/Certifications:
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,
    • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. Upon issuance of a new multistate license, the former license is inactivated.  For more information visit Colorado Board of Nursing - Compact Licensure
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Pay Range:

$37.31 - $63.07 / hour
